Uluru’s desert Flora

Uluru is not only known for its iconic rock formation but also for the unique caves and vegetation found in the surrounding area. Despite the arid environment of the Australian Outback, there’s a surprising diversity of plant life around Uluru. Some plant species are uniquely adapted to the harsh conditions, such as the desert oak and the spinifex grass. These plants have evolved strategies to conserve water and thrive in the hot, dry climate. During certain times of the year, the area can burst into color with wildflowers in bloom.
